Climb! 2.9.3 Available for Download

Version 2.9.3 of Climb! is now available here, via the automatic updater, and on the Mac App Store. V2.9.3 fixes a problem that cropped up in the Image View window linkable fields and adds a few modest enhancements.
Version 2.9.3 changes:
Select “Check for Updates…” from the Climb! menu or go to the Download page to get a copy. Mac App Store version updates are available via the App Store application.
Version 2.9.3 changes:
- Fixed a problem with Image View Window linkable data fields.
- Added a preference to bypass the splash window at launch.

Climb! 2.9.2 Now Available

Version 2.9.2 of Climb! is now available here, via the automatic updater, and on the Mac App Store. There are a number of changes related to compatibility with OS 10.7 Lion and a few worthwhile enhancements as well.
Version 2.9.2 changes:
Select “Check for Updates…” from the Climb! menu or go to the Download page to get a copy. Mac App Store version updates are available via the App Store application.
Version 2.9.2 changes:
- Log View Table contextual item "Query Internet Database for XXX" corrected to land on FlightAware Airport Summary page instead of FBO's page.
- Log View Table contextual item "View Satellite Image of XXX" no longer requires Google Earth to be already running.
- OS 10.7 (Lion): iCal Window Calendar Table is empty if iCal not already running. Corrected.
- OS 10.7 (Lion): iCal Import Window Event Table shows "missing value" tag in Notes column if no note content present in event. Corrected.
- OS 10.7 (Lion): Airport Edit Window internet query data parsing fails with new version of Safari. Corrected.
- Control scripts for external applications now update with each program update.
- Vertical grid lines added to iCal Import Window Events Table.
- iPhone and iPod touch references changed to "iOS devices".

Climb! Updated to V2.9.1

Version 2.9.1 of Climb! is now available here, via the automatic updater, and on the Mac App Store. Changes to the backup system make it easier to use remote drives such as iDisk and services such as Dropbox to safeguard your data. Backup files are also more clearly labelled as to date and time.

Version 2.9.1 changes:
- Moved default backup location to ~/Library/Application Support/Climb!.
- Backup file names now include SQL formatted date/time for easier identification.
- Improved backup reliability when backing up to network or remote drives such as Dropbox or iDisk.
- Enhanced startup monitoring and reporting.
- Improved image drag and drop.
- If a backup folder is not accessible when a logbook is opened, the backup folder is no longer reset to the default location.
- About Window mouse cursor is incorrect when over hyperlink. Corrected.

Climb! Now Available on the Mac App Store

We’re pleased to report that version 2.9 of Climb! has been approved for sale on the Mac App Store. To mark the event, we’re offering Climb! at a new lower price of $19.99! The Mac App Store version of Climb! is functionally identical to the version offered for download on this site with the following exceptions:
Since the Mac App Store is only available on computers running OS 10.6.6 or higher, the Mac App Store version is Intel only. If you need to run Climb! on a computer using earlier versions of the OS, please download from this site and register using the built in purchase system.

- There is no demo period as purchase is immediate
- Registration is handled automatically at purchase time
- Automatic updating is handled through the Mac App Store

Climb! V2.9.0 Now Available

Version 2.9.0 of Climb! is now available here and on the Mac App Store. This is primarily a maintenance release to align Mac App Store and non Mac App Store versions, but some additional changes were made:

- Removed deprecated reliance on MacCreator and MacType coding of logbook and Companion files. Files are now typed solely by extension (.lgb, .ilgb, etc.).
- Improved appearance of Image View “HUD” windows.
- Updated program to latest IDE version for greater compatibility and performance.
- Minor cosmetic changes.
