Next Version Will "Connect" for Users!

2ndSegment is planning an early 2007 release of the next version of Climb!. Here are some of the new features we know you'll appreciate:
  • Completely new airport database with more airports and more complete airport coverage; nearly 10,000 airports, all with latitude and longitude information.
  • New airport data structure will support both ICAO and IATA/FAA airport identifiers in each individual record.
  • Year, Month, and Aircraft ID categories added to the report generation feature.
  • Mobile device support enhanced with full drag and drop setup in the iCal window.
But the most exciting new feature is the built-in internet accessibility! The next version of Climb! will feature links to web based airport information and Google Earth! Soon you'll be able to:
  • Quickly query detailed airport information and display it in Safari.
  • Instantly pull up a satellite image of an airport in Google Earth.
  • Access detailed current and forecast weather conditions on the NOAA web site.
  • Automatically parse airport information directly to the Airport Edit window, ready to be saved as a new airport entry!
As always, your comments (and criticisms) are key to the continued popularity of Climb!. Please contact us with your suggestions.
