I wish I'd taken more pictures! - V2.6 Now Available

Who doesn't like to sit down with an old logbook and reminisce? Flying is a wonderful way to meet new people and explore new places. Now you can add pictures and documents to those flight memories.

Climb! Version 2.6 adds image support and some neat ways of linking your images to your flight records. The images are maintained in a separate database and can be linked to flight records manually or automatically, even across multiple logbooks. Pilots and friends, places and planes can all be automatically displayed alongside memorable flights in the new Image Sidebar.

Images are added to the Climb! image database via drag and drop, right from iPhoto or the finder. Climb! supports the import of these popular bitmap formats: JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, PICT, and BMP.

Climb! Version 2.6 also introduces automatic update checking, download, installation and a host of other improvements, enhancements, as well as a couple of bug fixes. Click here for a complete list of changes or visit the download page.

Leopard Compatibility, Part II

Climb! Version 2.4.2 is now available on the Download page.

Version 2.4.2 addresses Leopard incompatibilities related to keyboard shortcuts in the date entry control which resulted in the date toggling two days rather than one with each key press. This version also restores iCal flight data import functionality on pre Leopard systems which was inadvertently disabled in release 2.4.1.

This update is recommended for all 2.4.1 users. It is optional for all 2.4.0 users with pre Leopard systems.

Leopard Compatibility

Climb! Version 2.4.1 is now available on the Download page.

Version 2.4.1 addresses Leopard incompatibilities related to iCal and the Climb! iCal event import functions. The import routines are now compatible with Leopard's new version of iCal and the speed of data transfer has been dramatically improved. Climb! Version 2.4.1 also fixes a problem with the File "Save a Copy As…" command that prevented overwriting a file with the same name even after replace confirmation.
